This summer experience is specifically designed for identified gifted and talented students, specifically in leadership. Students will participate in field experiences supported by enrichment activities. These experiences directly support the program curriculum, investigating the four competencies of social-emotional intelligence in greater depth: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management (based on the Goleman model of EI). Individual activities will address mindfulness, community awareness, social interaction, team-building, problem-solving, organization, and community service skills.
Students will be pre-registered for this camp as they must already be a LAVA participant.

Fresh X- TSI Bootcamp
For Dual Credit and ECHS students from Brackenridge, Highlands, Houston and Lanier high schools. A two-week summer review of Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) in Reading, Writing and Mathematics from Monday-Thursday. Lunch is from 12-1 on your own. After the two-week review the students will re-take the TSI.
